The Racket is a pop folk indie band out of Houston with a chemistry that is spot on. Front man Bruce Hansen started out by playing the piano and later taught himself guitar and drums by listening to his mom’s old records for hours on end. Bands like the Beatles, Oasis, Radiohead and The Violent Femms (just to name a few) helped develop Bruce’s guitar and vocal style. It is Bruce’s strong vocals and energy accompanied by the harmonies and on stage chemistry with Marina Hansen that are the ace in the hole for this young band.
